Woody: While floral scents are the norm for women’s fragrances, woody scents are the most popular base for men’s colognes. Perfumes built around these notes generally have a classical connotation for Westerners, because unlike spices that are brought from distant countries, many aromatics are found in our gardens (rosemary, thyme, basil, lavender …).
