Top Notes: Lavender, Hesperides (Lemon Zest).
Heart Notes: Lavender, Earthy Notes, Apple, Smoke and Patchouli.
Base Notes: Vanilla, Lavender and Vetiver.
Woody: While floral scents are the norm for women’s fragrances, woody scents are the most popular base for men’s colognes. There is a wide range of scents, with patchouli and sandalwood being good examples of warmer woods. Woods are often combined with other aromatic top notes to create more complexity – for example, citrus or chypre.
Aromatic: Aromatic plants have been used since the 19th century in perfumery, particularly in colognes. The term refers to the aromatic family in which perfumes with notes of lavender, camphor, mint, anise and lemon are classified. Perfumes built around these notes generally have a classical connotation for Westerners, because unlike spices that are brought from distant countries, many aromatics are found in our gardens (rosemary, thyme, basil, lavender …).
