Your perfume fades as the day progresses, until it disappears completely when your many appointments are not yet over. This recurring problem affects a large number of people. But don’t panic, there are solutions to this problem.

You like your perfume but its smell seems to dissipate very quickly during the day. To compensate for this phenomenon, Paris Elysées gives you some basic tips to keep your fragrance alive from morning to evening, leaving behind you an intoxicating trail.

But how do you explain the rapid vaporization of your perfume ? First of all, it is imperative and essential to test it directly on the skin, ideally in the hollow of your wrists. Indeed, a fragrance can smell divinely good on one person and feel completely different on another. It is also advisable to allow time for the purchase. Do not buy a perfume with the first few drops sprayed. Let a few hours pass. The PH of the skin is acidic and varies between 5.2 and 7 (on average 6.5). This results in an alteration of the odour. In some cases, it is possible that it may partially or even completely dissipate.

So here are some tips to keep your favorite fragrance alive longer. The first advice we could give you is to store your vials in a dark and not very humid room. Many of you store your perfume in the bathroom (certainly convenient in the morning when you are in a hurry). However, light, heat and humidity are the three enemies of your small bottles. By placing your vials in a drawer, box or room away from these three factors, you can keep them smelling over time.

Another tip : spray your perfume in warm areas such as the hollow of your wrists, neck or hair. These areas will retain the head, heart and bottom smells of your fragrance all day long. You can also perfume your hairbrush. The latter easily retain odours. It is imperative not to spray your fragrance directly on your hair, as this could damage it.

When applying your favorite perfume, there is often a tendency to rub the perfume, so that it soaks in and penetrates better into the skin. Rubbing your wrists, for example, will help to remove the strong odours from the perfume.

Last advice, spraying perfume on your clothes is far from being a bad idea. Spray your perfume on a cloth, then leave it in your dressing room or closet. This will allow the odours to be diffused as much as possible. It is also essential not to spray its fragrance directly on clothes (mainly silk, cashmere), as this could stain them.

So you know all our advice on how to make your perfume last over time. It’s up to you now.
